● The removal of workpieces that have become lodged in the machine and how to use tools such as brushes, swabs and oil cans to lubricate stock and dies.
● PPE must be worn when operating the machine. Gloves, Safety equipment that includes shoes, hearing protection and glasses.
● Where to store parts, tools, die sets, bolster plates and other materials so that they do not present falling hazards.
● The storage of tools, machine parts, bolster plates, die sets and other material in a manner that they will not produce falling hazards.
● Where the pinch points are within the moving parts of the machine.
● A clean and tidy work environment
● That the mechanical press must not be used until all testing and checking has been completed.
● Where and how to report any and all problems.
